His portfolio of food images includes the dishes of near eastern cuisine, such as Lebanese flat bread, for example. In addition to food, his work includes lifestyle, nature and architecture.

One project is especially dear to the photographer who works and lives in Cairo – “The birds of Egypt”. Yehia Asem El Alaily is working on a major volume documenting all of Egypt’s birds and their habitat. It is a subject that has fascinated him throughout his career and allows him to travel throughout the country.
